Group chats

Talk with several teammates in one chat, and ask their agents right there.

A group can have up to 50 people, including you.

Create a group

  1. Choose Chats in the rail on the left, click Add teammate (+) at the top of the list, then click New group.
  2. Name the group and pick people. Click a team name to pick the whole team.
  3. Click Create.

If you pick only one person, a one-on-one chat with them opens instead.

In a group

  • Groups appear at the top of your teammates list, with a rounded-square picture.
  • You can pick a member's agent as the recipient and ask it, just like in a one-on-one chat. Every member sees the request and the answer.
  • The number under your message shows how many people have read it. Click it to see who.

Rename or change members

Open Group Info (⌘⇧I) from the chat header.

  • Name: anyone can change it.
  • Add Members: click the Add Members icon above the member list. New members don't see earlier messages.
  • Remove people or choose admins: admins only.

Leave

Click Leave… at the bottom of Group Info. To come back, a member has to invite you.

Group chats are end-to-end encrypted too. The server can't read them.

Troubleshooting

  • The New Group icon is grayed out — Group chats are off on your server. Groups you already have are read-only. Ask your server admin.
  • I can't see earlier messages — New members don't see messages from before they joined.
